Disney Dreamlight Valley DreamSnaps Update

According to the latest patch notes for DreamSnaps, players of Disney Dreamlight Valley will not be able to use creations made with the Touch of Magic tool in the upcoming weekly photography challenges. The release date for the DreamSnaps update is July 19th. Players will have the opportunity to help Vanellope from Wreck-It Ralph move into the valley and try out the new DreamSnaps features for the weekly competitions.

The update for Disney Dreamlight Valley is named after the DreamSnaps feature, which indicates its importance for the future of the game. This is the first multiplayer element in Disney Dreamlight Valley, allowing gamers to participate and vote for their favorite entries. The roadmap for Disney Dreamlight Valley mentioned that multiplayer functionality would be added in 2023. DreamSnaps is a step in the right direction, and hopefully, more features will be included in the September update.

Thanks to social media, the community has already received some details about the upcoming DreamSnaps challenges in the new update. A new challenge will be introduced each week, and gamers can earn free Moonstones, clothes, and furniture by participating or voting. However, the patch notes for the DreamSnaps update revealed that clothes and furniture created with the upgraded Touch of Magic tool cannot be used in DreamSnaps submissions.

In the previous major update, The Remembering, the Touch of Magic tool was upgraded to work on furniture as well as clothing items. Having the ability to create custom furniture and outfits that fit the theme of the DreamSnaps challenges would open up new possibilities. Surprisingly, many fans of the game were not upset by this restriction, as they felt it could be unfair for this feature to be allowed in the competition and provide an advantage to those who use it more frequently.

The first DreamSnaps challenge will be available soon, and some players have already started preparing their valleys for it. The Disney Dreamlight Valley Twitter account hinted at the theme, suggesting that fans will have to take a picture related to the castle in the valley.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is currently available in early access on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
