All the characters within Disney Dreamlight Valley have their own quest line that players are required to follow. Similarly, Mother Gothel, the villain of Tangled, has a quest line that involves finding and restoring the Sunstone fragments.
After finding the Sunstone, you discover that they are broken, and to mend them, players must complete the quest known as “Restoring The Sunstone.” During this quest, players will find fragments in different biomes at specific times of the day.
Once all the fragments have been accumulated, they must be taken to Mother Gothel so she can put them all together in one piece. Mother Gothel has an elaborate plan for restoring each of the Fragments so that the Sunstone might be restored in the Valley.
In this article, we will tell you where the fragments are and everything else that is related to the quest. So, let’s get started!
Restoring The Sunstone Quest
To start the Restoring the Sunstone quest, you must ensure that you have completed all of Mother Gothel’s previous quests and are on Friendship Level 10 with her. Talk to Mother Gothel after this has been accomplished, and she will tell you that she has found a way to restore the Sunstone fragments.
Restoring The Fragment Of Dawn
Firstly, we have the Dawn Fragment, and players will need the following ingredients to restore it:
- Ocean Water: It can be obtained from Dazzle Beach.
- Mint: It grows as a plant in Frosted Heights and can be picked by the players from the ground.
- Oregano: It grows as a plant in the Plaza and can be picked by the players from the ground.
- Lemon: It can be easily found and picked from Lemon Trees in the Glade of Trust or the Forest of Valor.
Combine all the ingredients that you have collected with the Dawn Fragment at the cooking station. This will result in a Gleaming Dawn Fragment, and you are required to bring it to Mother Gothel, who will give you the Dusk Fragment to bury in the Forgotten Lands.
Restoring the Dusk Fragment
The players must tend the Dusk Fragment like a plant, meaning that they should bury it in the ground in the darkest place of the valley; the Forgotten Lands. Bury the Dusk Fragment in the ground and water it until it is fully grown.
To grow fully, it will require twenty-four hours, and once it is complete, the ground where you buried it will start to glow. Take the Dusk Fragment to Mother Gothel once it is ready. She will then cast a spell that will make solar meteorites rain from the sky.
Finding All 5 Of The Solar Meteorites
Once the spell is complete and the Sun meteorites begin to fall, players are required to head back to the Forgotten Lands to collect five of these Sun Meteorites. They will be buried in the ground, randomly strewn in the area. Once collected, they are to be brought back to Mother Gothel.
After that, she will ask you to combine the Sunstone Fragments with the help of the Sun Meteorites’ heat. Go to a Crafting Station and craft the Sunstone and then give it to Mother Gothel. She will then reward you with her Standing Mirror, thus indicating that the quest has been completed.
