Disney Dreamlight Valley Bug: Ghost Chicken Discovered in Player’s Home

A player of Disney Dreamlight Valley, an adventure life simulation game, recently stumbled upon a peculiar bug inside their in-game home. While the game is still in Early Access, players have encountered various amusing glitches, including one that resulted in a hybrid of the Fairy Godmother and Merlin.

Disney Dreamlight Valley offers players a wide range of activities, from completing quests to personalizing avatars and spaces. Regular updates have introduced new Disney characters, cosmetics, and themed quests. The most recent update, called The Remembering, introduced the Fairy Godmother and a Pixar-themed Star Path.

Amidst farming and customization, some players have come across unusual and comical bugs. One Reddit user, strawberrymusicbox, noticed a mysterious shadow resembling a cooked chicken floating near the ceiling of their virtual home. They even mentioned that it seemed to be breathing.

Many players in the Disney Dreamlight Valley community found the “chicken” shadow to be terrifying, comparing it to a demon. Some speculated about the cause of the bug, suggesting it could be the avatar’s broken shadow or a bunny from the meadow. Others humorously proposed that it might be Jack-Jack from The Incredibles paying a visit.

The exact reason for the bug and its resolution remains unclear. Some players suggested that it could be a shadow cast by a selected companion, which strawberrymusicbox confirmed to have. Deactivating the animal companions in the game might potentially fix the bug. Despite its eerie appearance, the shadow bug did not significantly impact gameplay and instead brought laughter to the Disney Dreamlight Valley community.

Disney Dreamlight Valley has not announced a specific release date for its full version. However, it continues to engage players with monthly content updates and improvements. The game has faced criticism for its microtransactions, which are expected to increase when it becomes free-to-play. Developer Gameloft has the opportunity to address any existing issues and keep players engaged with exciting additions to the game.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is currently available in early access on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
