You can increase your Friendship level with Merlin in Disney Dreamlight Valley in several ways. These are as follows:

- Gift him some flowers
- Offer some cooked food items to him
- Assign merlin a role, spend some time with him, and engage in an activity that aligns with that specific role.

How To Remove Mushrooms In Dreamlight Valley
The very first step towards the road to the removal of mushrooms is that one must upgrade the watering can that was provided at the very beginning of the game. As you keep progressing Merlin’s questline and Friendship level, you will reach a quest called “A New Enchantment.”
Merlin will enchant your Watering Can tool during this quest since you need it to remove the mushrooms. However, there is a catch: the enchantment on the Watering Can will get undone when you complete the quest.
If you wish to make the enchantment permanent, then you will need to complete the quest called “The Dark Experiment.” Once you complete the quest called “The Final Trial,” you get the final upgrade for the watering can, with which you can remove any sized mushroom in Dreamlight Valley.
How To Reach “A Dark Experiment” quest in Dreamlight Valley
Once you reach level 8 of your Friendship with Merlin and unlock the Glade of Trust biome, you can get his “A Dark Experiment” quest. Something to look out for before you start this quest is that all your previous quests should be completed.
If they aren’t completed, you won’t be able to participate in this quest as it won’t be available to you. The “Dark Experiment” quest will ask you to collect three items that are 20 Mushrooms, 5 Emeralds, and 3 Purified Night Shards.
Mushrooms can be found on the ground at the Glade of Trust, whereas Emeralds can simply be mined out of the tall black rocks of Forest of Valor and Glade of Trust areas. Lastly, a single Purified Night Shard can be crafted using five Night Shards and one Dream Shard.
So, that means you will need a total of fifteen Night Shards and three Dream Shards to make three Purified Night Shards.
Once these items are collected, you can bring them to Merlin who will upgrade your watering can so that you can remove the smaller variety of large mushrooms from the village. To remove them, you will need to reach Friendship level 10 with Merlin and have Wall-E living in Dreanlight Valley.
Once you have fulfilled these requirements, Merlin will give you The Final Trial quest.
How To Reach “A Final Trial” Quest In Dreamlight Valley
In order to unlock The Final Trial quest, you will need to be on Friendship Level 10 with Merlin. Once again, you will need to make sure that all of your previous quests are completed before you move on to this one.
This quest begins by asking you to collect five Purified Night Shards. Once they are crafted, you can take them to Wall-E so that he can crush them into Night Shard Powder. After you collect the powder, you should talk to Merlin, who will give you the Magic Weed Removal book.
You will need a few more items to complete this quest which are 1 Falling Water, 1 Ice Heart, and 25 Mushrooms. The Falling Water can be obtained from near the river’s end in the Glade of Trust.
Moreover, you can collect the Ice Heart by planting the Ice Heart seed in your Inventory in the Frosted Heights Area.
How To Unlock Glade Of Trust Biome In Dreamlight Valley
