Disney Dreamlight Valley is an exciting adventure game that is rich in engaging activities like quests and exploration opportunities. What makes Dreamlight Valley extra special is the presence of Disney characters from Elsa to Mother Gothel from Tangled.

Like any RPG game, you can expect a lot of versatile characters in the Disney Dreamlight Valley that you can interact with. Each player plays an important role in the story and will help you in your journey.

You can get an idea of the upcoming characters as well by seeing the number of doors in the Dream Castle, as it tells us what Gameloft has in store for us. However, players have access to plenty of characters as of this moment, and more will be added in the future.

Listed below are all the characters currently in the game and those that will be added in the future!

All Disney Dreamlight Valley Characters

Following is a list of all the Disney Dreamlight characters that have been released in the game:

Merlin

The character of Merlin belongs to The Sword In The Stone, who was a powerful wizard tasked with the duty of educating Arthur. He possesses many abilities and is considered the most powerful wizard.

His most popular abilities include shapeshifting, enchantments, foresight, animation, alchemy, and abjuration. He can see in the future but only some parts of it. With his shapeshifting abilities, he can take any form he wants, be it a caterpillar or a goat.

Moreover, with his magic, he can bring inanimate objects to life and even give them a personality like his famous Sugar Bowl. Luckily, he is one of the first characters you meet in Dreamlight Valley, and you won’t have to complete a complicated quest to unlock him.

Mickey Mouse

Mickey mouse is your friendly neighborhood mouse and one of the most beloved characters who never left the valley in the first place. You can find him in the house opposite the Plaza and go inside to meet him and help him out with his troubles.

Once you enter the house, Mickey’s Memories quest line will be initiated. Once the quest is completed, you will receive the Royal Tools in Dreamlight Valley. Micky has another quest called Foodception, in which you will be introduced to cooking for the first time.

After this quest, you will be able to cook many in-game recipes that will help you progress in your journey.

Scrooge McDuck

Scrooge McDuck is another beloved Dreamlight Valley character that is found standing outside his ruined shop. Created by Carl Barks, Scrooge McDuck is one of the richest ducks in the world. His duck tales television series was a hit everywhere, and he is still loved by everyone.

Like Disney Dreamlight Valley, he has appeared in many other games, such as the Kingdom Hearts series, Epic Mickey, Disney Infinity, and The Duck Force Rises. In Dreamlight Valley, his shop is located near the center of the Plaza.

Speaking to him will unlock the Making Sense Of Things quest, in which you will be asked to go and interact with another character called Goofy.

Goofy

Goofy is an unintelligent and extremely humble character in the Mickey Mouse franchise. He gets absentminded quickly and acts childish sometimes. His character traits remain the same in Disney Dreamlight Valley too!

Goofy’s endearing nature makes him optimistic, and he can do anything for the people close to him, especially Mickey, Donald, and his son Max. Goofy is a great addition to the valley as he will take care of the community and have a little element of fun while he is at it.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is locked away in the Peaceful Meadows, so you will need to collect the Pickaxe Royal Tool. Once you have the tool, you must break the rocks blocking your way into the Peaceful Meadows.

Goofy’s house will be located right in the middle of the region and will be fairly easy to find. After that, you need to find a broken Fishing Rod, which will be present in the pond, before interacting with Goofy. After collecting the rod, you can take it to Goofy and get a Royal Fishing Rod.

Wall-E

Created by Buy N Large, the adorable robot called Wall-E is a waste collector drone. His job was to clear everything garbage plaguing the earth in the distant future. However, after years of never-ending work, he gained consciousness of this and started to wish for someone in his life.

After 700 years of loneliness, Wall-E made Eve, and everything changed after. In Disney Dreamlight Valley, you can unlock his realm in the Dream Castle to invite him. Also, you will have to complete a quest for him to gain passage into the valley.

He has a garden that can be upgraded with time, and you can also harvest many crops from there that will help you in certain recipes and future quests.

Moana

Moana is the optimistic and headstrong daughter of the chief of Montunui, who is here to save the day with her sea-loving personality. Moana believes in the stories and legends surrounding her island and is ready to defy her overprotective father to uncover them.

You will see Moana’s personality traits in Disney Dreamlight Valley as well. You must first unlock her realm in the Dream Castle and complete all her quests appointed to you so you can invite her to the valley.

Maui

The Demigod of South Pacific legend and shapeshifter, Maui uses his mortality and his magical fish hook to help Moana in her adventures. He is a powerful character who is termed the guardian of mankind.

His godly strength allows him to use his superhuman abilities to help anyone in need. In Disney Dreamlight Valley, you can invite Maui to your village once you bring Moana back to the valley.

For that, you must go to Moana’s realm and visit him, which will allow you to take on a quest called A Feast Worthy Of A Demigod. After the quest is successfully completed, you can easily persuade Maui to come to the valley and join Moana.

However, before inviting him, it is to be noted that you need to have access to Dazzle Beach, or else you will not have an area to place his watery home where he can live.

Remy

The tiny and cute mouse can be found in Disney Dreamlight Valley to make your adventure more delicious with his tasty recipes. Remy has the gift of identifying different ingredients present in a dish.

This ability has helped him identify toxic foods so that his friends and family won’t die from eating harmful and poisonous things. You can invite him to the valley once you unlock the Ratatouille realm.

The realm can be unlocked from the Dream Castle, and you will have to complete some quests as well to bring Remy to your valley. Moreover, you will also learn the recipe for Ratatouille by taking his quest.

You can open the Chez Remy restaurant once Remy arrives in your valley!

Minnie Mouse

Minnie Mouse is the embodiment of cheerfulness, femininity, and manners. She is sweet and nice to everyone around her and is used to seeing the positive in everything. Sometimes, this leads to her kindness being taken for granted; however, everyone likes her sweet nature.

Minnie Mouse is very protective and outspoken regarding bullying or rudeness and is ready to teach people a lesson. You can invite her to your Dreamlight Valley once you reach Friendship Level 8 with Mickey Mouse.

Moreover, you will also have to complete the Memory Magnification Friendship quest and all the Mickey Mouse quests to interact with Minnie. During the Memory Magnification Friendship Quest, you can easily rescue Minnie.

Ursula

Apart from heroes, the Dreamlight Valley also consists of some villains from major films, such as Ursula. She is the villain of the animated feature film The Little Mermaid and is half woman and half octopus with plenty of powers.

When she finds Merfolk in trouble, she offers them a wish that will come true. However, she always finds something that will benefit her and then exploits the mermaids in trouble.

Ursula is one of the most important members of the villain lineup in Disney, who uses dark magic whenever she wants. You will meet Ursula in Dreamlight Valley for the first time when you start the quest With Great Power.

However, you will only be able to take on the quest once the Dazzle Beach region of the game is unlocked. To free Ursula, you must retrieve the orb of power, which can be done by solving the Mystery Cave puzzles you come across in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Kristoff

Kristoff, the protagonist of the Disney film Frozen, loves going on adventures with his reindeer Sven. Kristoff has a romantic relationship with Anna, and you will meet him when you unlock the Forest Of Valor region in Disney Dreamlight Valley. You can easily find him wandering around the area.

Donald Duck

A fan of adventures, hiking, and dancing, Donald Duck is the cheeky friend of Mickey Mouse. He loves spending time with his lover, Daisy Duck, and enjoys pranks and goofing around. You will see this trait of him in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Speaking to Kristoff will initiate the Lost In The Grove quest of which Donald is a part. During this quest, you will have to go through a weird portal located in the Forest Of Valor.

Mother Gothel

Mother Gothel is an antagonist of Disney’s Tangled, and in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you will have to interact with her for many quests since Eugene or Rapunzel are not part of the game yet.

Mother Gothel will be unlocked once you take on the quest called The Curse. To complete the quest, you will have to remove dark magic applied to a tree in the Glade of Trust.

Anna And Elsa

The beautiful sisters of Herondale are up for interaction once you unlock the Frozen realm. It is located on the second level of Dream Castle. However, it is to be noted that you will have to interact with Anna first.

After that, you can interact with Elsa to bring them back to the Dreamlight Valley. Moreover, you will have to level up your Friendship with Anna during the quests you take, and building rapport with Anna is a crucial part of the main campaign in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Ariel

The seventh daughter of King Triton and Queen Athena, Ariel is the main protagonist in The Little Mermaid and is also a part of Disney Dreamlight Valley. You can interact with Ariel as soon as you repair the Mysterious Shipwreck and help Goofy.

You will find a shipwreck on a deserted island that is located southwest of Dazzle Beach, and once you have built a little raft, you can simply go and interact with Ariel.

Prince Eric

Once Ariel has been invited to Dreamlight Valley, and her home is built on the island, you can level up your Friendship with her to gain access to Prince Eric. When you start your Friendship with Ariel, you will get a quest where you must bring Eric to the valley too.

Upcoming Characters

Based on online information, players are guessing that many characters will be added to the game soon. While the game already has several characters with the upcoming expansions, characters from Lion King and Toy Story are expected to be added.

Furthermore, Ralph and Belle did appear in the official trailer of Disney Dreamlight Valley, but we did not see them in the game. Also, we see a lot of furniture sets and clothing in the game, which indicates the addition of several other Disney Characters that can be released soon.
