Unlocking Remy’s Restaurant in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Disney Dreamlight Valley players can unlock the beloved Little Chef, Remy, as one of the first characters in the game. By visiting the Ratatouille Realm, players can meet and assist Remy in a culinary catastrophe of events. Once players invite Remy to move into the Valley, they can unlock his restaurant, Chez Remy, and special cooking ingredients to use in the game’s recipes.

The final Friendship quest for Remy, “The Unknown Flavor,” is unlocked at Friendship Level 10. Completing this quest awards players Remy’s “Best Chef” Shelf and adds a new ingredient, Slush Ice, to Remy’s Shop. Here’s how to complete “The Unknown Flavor” quest:

Starting the Quest

To begin the quest, players must reach Friendship Level 10 with Remy and complete his previous Friendship quest, “The Price of Fame,” which becomes available at Friendship Level 7. Once these requirements are met, speak with Remy to accept his final Friendship mission.

After a conversation with Remy, players will learn that he’s struggling to recreate a recipe for a magical frozen dessert. He needs the player’s assistance in unraveling this culinary conundrum, and the first step is to seek guidance from the wise Merlin. This starts the quest “The Unknown Flavor.”

Gathering Materials

Head over to Merlin’s place and talk to him. He will suggest checking his notes, which contain valuable information about enchanted food. Interact with the sparkling book in Merlin’s home to receive a recipe book.

Now it’s time to gather the necessary materials, which means crafting 3 Purified Night Shards at any crafting station. To create these shards, players will need to use a total of 45 Night Shards and 9 Dream Shards.

Night Shards can be obtained by digging at sparkling dig spots scattered throughout the valley, while Dream Shards can be obtained by clearing Night Thorns that have infiltrated the Valley. Once players have crafted the Purified Night Shards, they will need to crush them into powder. Seek out WALL·E and give him the shards. WALL·E will return them as a vial of Purified Night Shard Powder.

The next step is to collect 15 Snowballs from the clusters of ice found in the Frosted Heights. Players need to use the upgraded Royal Pickaxe to break the ice apart and gather the Snowballs. Once they have all 15 Snowballs, head back to a crafting station and combine them with the Purified Night Shard Powder to create Ice Slush.

Completing the Quest

Return to Remy and present him with the Ice Slush. In gratitude for the help, Remy will share the recipe for the dessert which had previously eluded him, Vanilla Ice Cream.

Players can now purchase Slush Ice from Remy’s Shop inside the restaurant, which is a required ingredient for making Vanilla Ice Cream. To prepare the Vanilla Ice Cream, combine the following ingredients:

• 1 Sugarcane – Grown from seeds or purchased from Goofy in Dazzle Beach.
• 1 Slush Ice – Purchased from Remy’s Shop for 150 Star Coins per serving.

Successfully prepare the Vanilla Ice Cream and offer it to Remy. He will express his appreciation for the player’s continued assistance and reward them with Remy’s “Best Chef” Shelf, a special item they can proudly display on a wall in their home. Additionally, they are now able to purchase the Slush Ice ingredient from Remy’s Shop for 150 Star Coins per serving, which is used in many delectable dessert recipes.
