Assist Nala in Understanding the Connection Between the Mysterious Rifts, Strange Fish, and Her Role in Dreamlight Valley

Disney Dreamlight Valley’s “Pride of the Valley” update introduces Simba and Nala from The Lion King to the valley, along with their home, Pride Rock. Nala’s quests involve investigating strange occurrences in the valley, such as broken lion statues resembling her and troublesome fish causing issues for the villagers. Here’s how to start and complete the quest “The Heart of a Lioness” in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to Start “The Heart of a Lioness”

The quest “The Heart of a Lioness” unlocks in Disney Dreamlight Valley once the player reaches Friendship Level 7 with Nala. Before starting this quest, players must complete Nala’s previous Friendship quest, “Fishy Business,” available at Friendship Level 4.

How to Complete “The Heart of a Lioness”

Nala requests the player’s assistance in helping villagers catch specific fish that have proven challenging to reel in since the appearance of mysterious rifts. The player must catch one swordfish for Moana, two crabs for Remy, and three tuna for Donald. It’s recommended to bring a companion with the Fishing role to speed up the process. Once the player catches the required fish, they should deliver them to the respective villagers and return to Nala.

Nala mentions peculiar markings on the wall inside Pride Rock that warrant investigation. She believes these markings may convey some kind of message and requests the player’s assistance in examining them further. The player should head to Pride Rock and interact with the paw prints on the wall at the back of the cave, which will cause a Memory Orb to appear. Collecting the orb unlocks a memory depicting the three lion statues involved with the previous quest, “Fishy Business.”

Nala concludes that the lion statues require hearts and asks the player to gather the necessary items to craft three Enchanted Hearts. The player must catch three Weird Fish found in pools located near the Mystical Rifts and gather nine Dream Shards. They should then speak with Minnie Mouse to acquire her red spotted bow, which can provide valuable assistance. With the required materials in hand, the player should head to any crafting station and select the Potions & Enchantment category to craft the three Enchanted Hearts for Nala.

Once the Enchanted Hearts have been crafted, the player should return to Nala and present them to her. Nala realizes that her role in the valley involves safeguarding these hearts, which will be further explored in her final Friendship quest, “Here and There and Back Again.”

Disney Dreamlight Valley is available on PC, PS5, PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The game is currently in early access, with a full release expected in 2023.
